Innovation through Collaboration

Intel supports long-term research in universities worldwide to enable and promote innovation and the advancement of technologies relevant to Intel's future. This support helps build and strengthen ties between Intel technologists and university researchers, and leads to mutually beneficial information exchange. It also trains researchers who may become technical leaders at Intel or elsewhere. Besides funding individual university long-term research grants through the Corporate Research Council, Intel also actively participate with funding and mentoring in large consortia such as SRC and MARCO (FCRP). To respond to the diverse needs of academic communities across the world, The corporate Research Council is structured into six different areas:
Applications Applications
Applications Research goal is to identify and understand the implications of future usage models for Intel's businesses to enable the use of Intel technology, from potential to actual usage models.

Architecture Architecture
Architecture research focuses on advanced research for current and future Intel® Architecture platforms.
