Bio:
Pedro Chaparro Monferrer received his M.S. degree in Computer Science and Computer Engineering in January 2003 from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in Barcelona, Spain. In September 2004 he started his Ph.D., which is entitled “Thermal Aware Microarchitectures”, in the Computer Architecture Department of the UPC. Pedro successfully defended it in February 2008.

Pedro works as a Research Scientist in the Intel-UPC Barcelona Research Center, which is part of the Intel Microprocessor Technology Labs. He joined the Intel-UPC lab in September 2002, where his research focused on power- and thermal-aware microarchitectures. From 2007 his research focuses on reliability issues.
